I think calculations of average age at harvest are better calculated from the percent of the "working forest" area each year, rather than the total forested area. I am guessing that is in the area of 50% of the total forested area ('hard to find nos on it from NSDNR website, perhaps you have some), which would reduce the average age to 50 years...
David, I totally agree with you but I wanted to just the data as presented by Stats Canada. I did send this article to Minister Hines and I did not want him to coma beck and say I was totally off the deep end.The point is that we are cutting far too much.
